| During one of the few times in my life that I've been away from my beloved family farm and Berlin Hts., I was attending college and graduate school in... well, let's just say I "jumped state lines" (but NOT to, "That school up North")! My Bachelor's and Master's degrees are in ... nevermind, you wouldn't believe it anyway! Let's just say that they have NOTHING whatever to do with any of my (engineering type) occupations since. Anyway..., I was still married then (during the "higher education" years), and we had a cat named Toi (pronounced "Toy"). which I think is a Vietnamese word for "weird cat" or something like that. I somehow apparently kept my talent for teasing animals but NEVER in a mean or physically harmful way, but unknown to me at the time certainly in a psychological way (I didn't know, HONEST!). For example, I used to have Toi "walk on the ceiling" by holding her upside down over my head and scooting her across the ceiling while watching her move her legs and "walk". She SEEMED not to mind it. Other times I would OFTEN repeatedly snap my finger at her and she would "meow" EVERY time I did it. After a period of time, while doing these and other things, we noticed that Toi started obsessively licking her stomach which resulted in a large, raw hairless spot in that area. We finally took her to the Vet since we couldn't figure out what the cause was. After an extensive examination and questioning of mainly my wife, he concluded that Toi was suffering from a PSYCHOLOGICAL problem! Since then, my EX-WIFE has said to me MANY times that, "You EVEN managed to drive THE CAT crazy! (...I did, in BOTH cases!) |
