| As a kid, I had, and still have according to my Doctor, a very high degree of imagination and creativity. Unfortunately, Tim suffered much of the "fallout" from all the above that emanated from me during our kid years. I had many imaginary "friends" while growing up, such as "Mum Mum" (who will be introduced in an upcoming missive), and "Feeties" and "Other Feeties", featured in this account. Most every night and morning while Tim was laying in bed, I would grab one of his feet and start talking to it while having my face right up close to his foot! These "conversations" were always only one way, since to my knowledge they NEVER talked to me (whew....). When I was finished talking to the left foot ("Feeties"), I would then pick up the conversation with the right foot ("Other Feeties"). Why they each had plural names, I can't explain. (Hey, I can't even explain why I was having a conversation with someone's feet in the first place!) Let's just ascribe it to a high degree of creativity and imagination! (You'll buy that, right?) Years later when Tim was in the Navy, he was asked by a Navy Chief he worked for about how he had learned to have so much patience. His reply was, "You'd be patient too if you woke up every morning with your brother talking to your feet!" |
