Among the wide assortment of unorthodox cusine we used to feed our dogs, the most entertaining one was GUM! The dogs would chew and chew with their tongues going in and out and their heads nodding in perfect time. The most effective way to get them to chew gum for at least a little while was to give them "ABC" gum (Already Been Chewed). Hey, before you think this was "a terrible" thing to do, just think of all the yucky things your dog naturally loves to eat. For example, our dogs loved to eat old dead things and then roll around in them! One of the worse things about having "farm dogs" was to have them come up to you and lick your face and have dead-rotten-woodchuck-breath! Before I wrap this up, there's 1 thing to note. In those days, we refered to certain states of gum in T.V. network terms, the afore mentioned "ABC gum (Already Been Chewed). We also had NBC gum (Never Been Chewed), and finally "CBS" gum (Chewed Before Sold). This, of course, was LONG before cable T.V. However, I do think the modern cable networks have some definite possibilities! Take for example: "AMC" (Already Mostly Chewed) "CNN" (Chewed Not New) "HBO" (Half Before Offering) "TLC" (Totally Lip Chewed) "USA" (Unchewed Swallowed Already) SEE what I mean...?
